About This Place

Cafe No.9 is a delightful family-run cafe nestled in the heart of Pembroke Dock at 9 Water St, offering a comforting slice of classic British dining with a genuine local spirit. Specializing in hearty English breakfasts and freshly brewed tea or coffee, this charming spot is a haven for those seeking both quality and warmth in their morning rituals.

Step inside Cafe No.9, and you're immediately embraced by an inviting, old-fashioned atmosphere that feels like a warm hug from a longtime friend. The simple yet impeccably cooked dishes—highlighted by their signature Full English Breakfast—arrive steaming hot, each element cooked to perfection. Crisp bacon, savory sausages, golden eggs, and buttery toast combine to create a satisfying and fulfilling plate that truly honors the British classic. The accompanying tea or coffee is more than just a beverage; it’s a carefully poured, deeply comforting cup that pairs perfectly with breakfast or their delightful “My Birthday Cake” — a sweet treat that adds a special, celebratory note to your visit.

What truly sets Cafe No.9 apart is its warm, no-fuss service that Rhys F captures perfectly: "A family-run gem where breakfast means business. You get a hearty plate and a proper cuppa, served with friendly charm and no fuss." This honest and welcoming approach fosters a down-to-earth environment, where locals and visitors alike can relax and savor their meals amidst friendly chatter and genuine smiles.

Thomas Gibson’s words echo the sentiment, praising both the food’s authentic simplicity and the inviting atmosphere: "The food was simple and honest but very well cooked. I had a larger breakfast with tea and loved every mouthful. Reasonably priced, well worth a visit." The quick, attentive service ensures your meal is served promptly without sacrificing quality, as Yvonne Carter-Ingram notes, emphasizing how beautifully cooked and well-presented the dishes are.

Whether you’re popping in to enjoy a comforting breakfast, grab a satisfying tea break, or indulge in a slice of that famous birthday cake, Cafe No.9 promises a genuine taste of Pembroke Dock’s hospitality. This cafe doesn’t just serve food; it offers a heartfelt experience, making every visit feel like a lucky find — just as Juanita Barden discovered. If you seek a place where the flavors are robust, the smiles are sincere, and the atmosphere is warm and unpretentious, Cafe No.9 should be at the top of your list.

Lovely little cafe. 11 of us descended not long before closing time. We were made to feel very welcome. Good range of food, all came out quickly and hot. The topped jackets looked the best. If you need a quick and tasty bite it's well worth a visit

For a traditional full English breakfast this has to be the best, food presentation was clean and not just all thrown together. Staff on the ball and very polite. Will be returning
